Your Hosts

Martin and Susan Cherry welcome you to historic St. Johnsbury, Vermont.

Martin and Susan both came to the area as music teachers and church musicians. They are both retired and are full-time Innkeepers. Martin has been a nurse at a local senior health care facility. Susan retired from teaching public school music after more than 30 years after 10 years as the director of The Community Restorative Justice Center.

At your service…

As longtime residents of St. Johnsbury, they are pleased to discuss your itinerary and offer local attraction suggestions. Martin will be pleased to show off his wood-working skills to those who are interested in hand-crafted work in the house.

St. Johnsbury is the county seat for Caledonia County. As the name suggests, many settlers came here from Scotland. Susan is pleased to share her bountiful Scottish-inspired breakfasts and evening shortbread with you. We are a gateway to the rural area called the Northeast Kingdom replete with scenic mountain and valley vistas.
